Puerto Rican author Yolanda Arroyo Pizarro

You're invited to two virtual events with award-winning author and "artivist" Yolanda Arroyo Pizarro, co-hosted by WWB Campus and the Brooklyn Public Library!

At her bilingual author talk on Wednesday, June 14th at 5:30pm ET, Arroyo Pizarro will speak about Negras, her short story collection about Black women’s resistance against slavery in Puerto Rico, and share stories of the mentors and memories that inspired her work.

Then, tune in on Wednesday, June 21st at 11am ET for a writing workshop that will empower you to tell stories of rebellion from your own life. Spanish-language support will be provided for both events.
