How do you celebrate Women's History Month? In many parts of the world, the celebration begins on March 8th. With over 100 years of history, International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

To help you join in on month-long celebration and participate in this year’s theme (#InspireInclusion), WWB Campus recommends the following stories from women writers around the globe:

  1. Fiction about growing up lesbian from one of Puerto Rico's marriage equality pioneers
  2. Illustrated journalism exposing modern-day slavery
  3. A cicada's tale from a Chinese experimental writer
  4. A story about men, women, and class in Haiti from a noted author and community leader
  5. An Iranian journalist's advice on "How to Be a Woman in Tehran"
  6. A Korean trans writer's tale of father-daughter love
  7. An Egyptian Bedouin's story of growing up with a grandmother known only as "The Guest"
