So says online learning expert John Vivolo of the students coming of age today, with access to an array of free online content---from Open Educational Resources to videos to freeware. As Director of Online Education at the Katz School of Yeshiva University, Vivolo oversees all the school's online education programming, and he has been involved in the growth and improvement of online learning for more than fifteen years.

Teaching Uyghur Poetry: Updated with breaking news

This summer, Words Without Borders Campus published a post on teaching the poetry of Tahir Hamut, an ethnic Uyghur (pronounced we-ger) poet and filmmaker who is living in exile in Washington, D.C. following the Chinese government's large-scale repressions of Uyghur Muslims. The New York Times just published a leaked government archive that sheds new light on these repressions, and we have updated the post, below.
